Trail Ride Rescue
This is supposed to be the best summer of 14-year-old equestrian Charlie Robinson’s life, starting with the big announcement of who is going to step into the role of equestrian team captain, a role she’s been working toward for the past few years.
When someone else is named captain, everything changes. Charlie finds herself dealing with disappointment, spiraling anxiety, and a new team captain who makes mistakes Charlie never would have made. As if that wasn’t enough, one teammate seems determined to make her life miserable.
Until the day an accident on the team trail ride reminds her that leadership isn’t about the titles, it’s about trust, teamwork, and true friendship.
Trail Ride Rescue is a great middle-grade read for kids 7 to 12.
